Reflection – Developing the Three Year Professional Development Plan was a great experience. Often, leaders do not take the time to plan out the goals and objectives in advance. Looking ahead three years, and anticipating your future career is not always easy, but if you have reflected and assessed your own strengths and weaknesses, it can be done. Knowing where improvement is needed is vital to growth as a leader. Making specific plans aimed at improving in those exact areas is the best way to ensure that improvement will take place. Overall, developing the plan made me closely examine the areas where I believe I must grow in order to succeed in the superintendency.
